Hi guys, we’ve imported an website from cpanel and I think we’ve imported the database via command line.
We now need to edit and modify few things for that database. However we dont see the “Edit Databases” option under virtualmin. We tried installing phpmyadmin, and the “Database to manage” tab doesn’t show our imported mariadb database neither.
If you have a database that was not part of the cPanel backup, and you imported it manually, you’ll need to use the “Import Database” page in <domainname>->Edit Databases->Import Database. As far as Virtualmin is concerned, any databases it did not create for the domain in question do not belong to that domain (it’d be a huge security risk of any domain could edit any database!), so you have to tell it the domain owns it.
You have to perform that operation as a root level user, since again it’d be a security risk to allow domain owners to take over arbitrary databases.
