hi
i have a operative server working for months, but my isp change my external ip, and now, after open ports ( and checkit) and redirect all my domains , all website give error “SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG”.
we dont modify NOTHING in server, but include mail cxonsole is innacesible
why?
i have my servwer down for hours and there are a lot of person depend of mi
i only have access using internal IP.
and i cannot access externally using http (80) service
Have you updated your DNS? Also normally in the GUI, every time I’ve change a IP virtualmin will detect the change and show a button to update the IP to the new one.
I suppose is ubuntu
If you do “dig IP” or “nslookup yourdomain.tld” do you receive your old IP address from 127.0.0.53?
IS possible that is related to ubuntu, not to virtualmin
CHeck VIrtualmin > Server COnfiguration > Website Option for " Redirect all requests to SSL site" and if is Yes put it on No
ALso, you have to wait for the new IP to propagate, check here your propagation status (first thing wait for nameservers to propagate…): https://dnschecker.org/ (search CHECK DNS PROPAGATION)
You may want to regenerate SSL certificates (Virtualmin > Server Configuration > SSL Certificate > Let’s Encrypt), after you enter in Virtualmin.
It’s possible that you have to remove the old certificates because they don’t reflect anymore domain/IP, cos you have a new IP.
But WAIT for the new IP to propagate, you may have issues when you generate your new certificate if Let’s Encrypt see your old IP (and after some failures to generate SSL certificates you’ll have to wait some more). Or you could generate manually the certificates.
tx to every body, but my server works perfectly until my isp change ip, i dont know whats is the problem, but is not the server, because if i make ping to my ip ( using my network) i get a quick ping , but if i tried ping in a diferent location ( a diferent xternal ip) ping say NO ANSWER, include if i tried to access withh ssh , it say refuse. ports are open correctly and tested
