PHPMYADMIN versus ADMINER

Only point you all to this one with a link

https://www.adminer.org/

hy is Adminer better than phpMyAdmin?

Replace phpMyAdmin with Adminer and you will get a tidier user interface, better support for MySQL features, higher performance and more securit

Discussion and howto are welcome in this TOPIC ofcourse.

I use this in cases where PHPmyadmin is not working or possible but DATABASE acces is possible.

( For Virtualmin install Adminer is much more simple to use , and have some customized for users… )

Then together with Directory protection where the files are , and also some other as ip or whatever in htaccess or vhosts

Why removing phpMyAdmin? This wouldn’t be possible, as there are other users who would prefer using phpMyAdmin.

What we could do, possibly, is to add Adminer to Virtialmin/Install Scripts, right @Joe @Eric?

Howdy,

That looks like a simple looking script, so it’s a definitely possibility.

We usually wait to add Install Scripts until we have multiple requests for it.

So we’ll put this one out to the community – would anyone else like to see Adminer as a Virtualmin Install Script?

Sorry that "

replace"

was not my text but a quote from the website from adminer!

But while this is so simple it could be nice to have for some…

And also easy for some who want to use it , even without beeing in virtualmin, still if some of the possible options as customize / plugins / and security is in virtualmin for it would be nicer.
