PHP 8.5 cannot be set as an alternative

I’m just wondering whether I’ve run into a bug or something.

I installed PHP 8.5 via Webmin > Tools > PHP Configuration > Manage PHP Packages:

I expected it to become the default, but it doesn’t appear as an option anywhere – not in the server templates, nor in the PHP settings for any of the domains.

Versions other than 8.5 can be set as the default, and the highest available version is always selected automatically.

Any idea what might be going on?

same in debian 12.
also tried virtualmin check config, without success. only finds php8.4 as available.

Check this one out:

Cheers, only searched for php latest – tad lazy, I know…
