panel for temporary email site

I’m writing to ask for information; I apologize if I’ve posted this in the wrong category. I have a website, edumaili.com, and I use DirectAdmin panel, but that’s not enough for me. I want to get a VDS and use that instead. I’m looking for a panel. Does anyone have or use a temporary email site like this?

Virtualmin isn’t really targeted at mass email hosting, but neither is DirectAdmin, so whatever tools you’re already using for creating/expiring temporary email addressing would probably work the same on a Virtualmin system.

If you are targeting mass email(legit or not) you need to pay for a service that offers mailing like this.
MailChimp is one

A temporary email address service is not bulk mail sending. It’s usually used for receiving mail for signing up to services that require an email address, but you don’t want to get spam from them, or whatever. Still requires creating and deleting a bunch of email addresses (thus my use of the word “bulk”), but it is not the use case of MailChimp.

ok I saw bulk email

Hello again, there will be no bulk email sending. If you look at how I use it on this site (edumaili.com), users log in, create random email addresses, and use them for verification. After 10 minutes or some time, that email address becomes available and they create a new one. It works with DirectAdmin, but I’m not getting full efficiency due to some features, so I’ve bought a VDS and am looking for a control panel. There will be no bulk email sending or anything like that. Only members will receive emails to the email addresses they created themselves.

By the way, I’m using Google Translate, so I apologize in advance if there are any incorrect translations.

If I install it on a VDS as I described, will I be able to use it as easily as I can with DirectAdmin?

You keep posting that link, and it’s starting to seem like you just want to advertise your site. Spam is a bannable offense. (Wrap domain names in backticks, `, to avoid the filters and me thinking you’re spamming.)

DirectAdmin is not software for handling temporary addresses, so obviously you have other software for that purpose. I would assume that software would work similarly on a Virtualmin system, you’d probably add some kind of additional virtual_alias_maps lookup for the temporary users in a database or whatever. Nothing in Virtualmin prevents using extra virtual_alias_maps in addition to the one Virtualmin manages in /etc/postfix/virtual (I’d probably add one that queries the backend database that the web application writes to).

You’re not saying what software you’re using for the temporary mailboxes (it is not DirectAdmin, that’s your control panel…I’m pretty confident it has nothing to say about issuing temporary email addresses), so we can’t be specific about how to run it on Virtualmin.

If you want help, you’ll need to say what software you’re using to manage the temporary emails. But, you can probably just follow the documentation for that application. I’m pretty confident it’s not DirectAdmin-specific (because why would it be, this is not a task that needs control panel support?).

That’s absolutely correct and @alpagu I host caltiger.net.in on a Virtualmin server. It is a domain that used to belong to one of the largest ISPs in India which went out of business and left many of its customers in the lurch. I offer this as a free service (ad supported) for people to receive email only.

I would be happy to engage with you professionally to set such a service up for you.

If you are a Webmin / Virtualmin newbie and wish to have a quick 10 minute paid chat with me about this, you could do that - in addition to interacting with the very helpful community via this forum.
