This looks like a temporary issue in the Ubuntu 24.04 repositories where the 6.8.0-100 kernel packages aren’t fully available yet, so APT can’t resolve the dependencies.
It should be fixed upstream in a future repo update. For now, you can safely ignore it.

however it has happened on other OS not just the one listed in the system info - that just happened as no 3.
is that likely to be a long wait?
is it likely to interfere with future updates -
as listed there were 6 updates available (3 for the screen shot) there are still 6, so it failed all updates.
I don’t have an answer for this. We don’t control what Ubuntu developers do. Still, I assume they will fix it fast. It’s hard not to notice such a bug.
