No package updates for half a year

SYSTEM INFORMATION
OS type and version REQUIRED
Webmin version REQUIRED

For half a year Webmin has told me that “All installed packages are up to date”.
But for 2 years before that I had many new updates every week.
I wonder if something is wrong. How can the almost constant stream of updates just stop overnight?
My VPS OS is Ubuntu Linux 20.04.6
I use Webmin in a browser in Windows 11.

Any ideas?

No idea you need to supply your os details

This would help to see if Webmin is up to date.

Presumably you disabled whatever repos were providing updates.

Since this is in the Webmin category, I guess you got it from the Webmin repo, so make sure you haven’t disabled that repo in /etc/apt/sources.list.d. There’s probably a file called webmin.list or something like that. (On a Virtualmin system, it’d be virtualmin.list or something along those lines.)

You should update Virtualmin repos to the latest:

sudo sh -c "$(curl -fsSL https://software.virtualmin.com/gpl/scripts/virtualmin-install.sh)" -- --setup

Why are you assuming they’re using Virtualmin?

@Joe That’s right. It doesn’t seem they do! My bad.

@eriksenkim In this case you should re-setup Webmin repos as described here:

I think they mean all updates - including OS updates.
