I found another Virtualmin installation but noticed that it had a different “default” page than the one I’m seeing currently on my domain/servers. I wanted to know, was there a change to that landing page, and if so, how can I update my current servers to use the new lander, hopefully without deleting and recreating them.
It is strange you generating a old version for the page. Your differently using the latest version?
Maybe recheck configuration, but not sure that would fix though. There is docs for the default page.
No no. I guess I should’ve clarified. This isn’t my installation. While searching through the web, I came across this page. This was someone else’s (outdated, I guess) installation. Seeing that this was once a Virtualmin landing page, figured there would be someway to get back to it.
You can put anything you want into /etc/skel/public_html/index.html, including our old default page…but, I’d ask you not use that one, as we changed it because it made people think we were the owner of the site for some reason and I got a bunch of hateful messages from people who’d gotten spammed by Virtualmin users. One time a guy found me on facebook to send me pictures of his dick along with a bunch of awful vitriol. People aint normal out there, and hopefully our new page makes it more clear we just make software, we don’t host websites and we don’t send spam.
But, really, put whatever you like as the default page. You can make one with your own branding and instructions or information or whatever you like.
Jesus… yeah no, I’d definitely remove the Virtualmin branding for sure. Primarily wanted just like the simplistic layout of it while not directly hotlinking to the admin consoles.
