Most Virtualmin users are web devs, independent web hosts, and not working at mega corps with deep pockets, so this affects almost every Virtualmin user.
Net Neutrality is once again (or, perhaps it’s more correct to say has always been) under threat from cable and telco companies who want the ability to place tolls on website owners based on threats of making them slower or inaccessible. This would compromise the integrity of the web as a medium of free expression, and would harm startups, independent developers, and non-profit websites most. Larger websites could pay the tolls, but huge swaths of what makes the internet great are built and maintained by independent site owners and small organizations.
Comcast, AT&T, Verizon, and Time Warner Cable won’t stop fighting for the right to extort every website owner for last-mile bandwidth because they stand to make billions, so if we want a level playing field for our small businesses, our online communities, and our independent projects, we can’t stop fighting either.

Yes, this particular effort is in the US (sorry, I should have specified). There have been fights in other countries over the same basic concerns, but this one is specific to the US and the FCC (Federal Communications Commission who regulates some aspects of the last-mile internet).
I am not familiar enough with the law in EU to know what’s going on with net neutrality there.

Yes it does not yet touch us in eu but we all know, where it will go or where it is going…however usa or eu or whatever country I feel that we need to stand up together for this good thingy happening around the globe so - … virtualmin we are in this together!

If it starts in a country like USA then it will open up for the other countries . So it does not matter it this does not matter now in other countries , we have to protest for the future
