Ok this is weird… I have a complicated platform environment, but I have two Virtualmin servers running at the present in production, one has has mariadb, and its working perfectly. I also have used the platform for a five plus years, and Ive never seen anything like this…
When I upgrade my MySQL to the latest version of Community (As I need to move to Enterprise before production) and have oracle support… I got an error in the tool that I needed to install PERL DBD::mysql…
And I tried to do this from the command line and it appeared to work(
libdbd-mysql-perl, and DBI)…but I started to get an error in Webmin MYSQL views saying…
The full MySQL error message was : DBI connect failed : Got packets out of order ?
But when I try to install the module using CPAN or Webmin Directly I get an mysql.so error in the perl compiler…
its something to do with Maria-DB-Client which I expressly dont want… but there is a default-mysql-client setting which I cant purge in Debian 12…
Anyway I have seen people propose mods to MYSQL Configurations, but the settings recommended I have tried to modify with no regards, and this is something specific to MySQL Community Server 8.3.
