MySQL backup Date Format Not working

Created a scheduled Cron Job to backup All my databases - databases are created when I select run now. But the date format is -%Y%m%d-%H%M%S-%A—databasename instead of the actual date? How do I fix this? I can’t find the strftime-style time substitutions anywhere?
