MySQL 5.7 Support

Hi guys,

I just upgraded to MySQL 5.7 and it looks like Virtualmin 5.0 now fails to create new virtual servers as well as the backup fails to work properly as MySQL 5.7 changes the password field to authentication_string so I guess this is why it isn’t working.

I was wondering if Virtualmin prepares to support MySQL5.7 anytime soon please? Or shall I just downgrade MySQL back to MySQL 5.6?

Yeah there is a problem with MySQL 5.7 support at the moment… that should be fixed in the next Virtualmin version.

For the time being, it may be necessary to downgrade.
