I have a strange error that occurred with the last Webmin update.
As you can see, the CPU graph and the history of the CPU and the disc I/O graph are missing.
The whole thing runs on Debian 12.9, Webmin 2.300 and the Authentic theme version 23.00.
I have already tried to reinstall Webmin, reset system status access control options, cleared the cache, but nothing helped.
Even the attempt to go back to a previous version was unsuccessful.
Also the errorlog of Webmin does not show anything that would indicate an error.
Perhaps someone here has some advice?
Thanks for trying, but what I notice here is that you are using a different Webmin and theme version.
I haven’t looked at the changslogs in git, but could it be that something has changed that could cause the problem?
yes and Virtualmin - it was just a quick and dirty test I accept as a passing thought.
your system is probably more loaded with data, databases and websites (and possibly even Apache and goodness knows what else. performing a significant upgrade is not ever going to be a simple task.
I don’t think I have ever seen Virtual Memory so high and probably would not be too shocked if CPU went off scale at the same time trying to find somewhere to put the excess! anything in the logs to indicate why?
Here is a Screenshot of btop and the miniserv errorlog , there a some Docker containers running on the system. There is no Apache or nginx running on the system.
I had the idea that it might be due to a Perl module, which is why I upgraded all Perl modules within Webmin, unfortunately without success.
Could it be possible that a component responsible for reading the two graphs was removed or updated during a system update and that is why it no longer works?
If so, which one would that be?
sorry I cannot help you there - I’m not a Docker user. I would still doubt if anything in a Webmin/Virtualmin upgrade would break anything (but I would be suspecting something in one/all/any of those containers - no experience here remember)
