Minor backup issue

debian 12
24 epyc cores
64 gigs of ram
virtualmin pro 7.30.8

so the backups to one host complete but when it checks for old files that it needs to delete i get this below. mind you the transfers work fine. I hav3e other servers that also put backups on this same server..and work fine…some of them are on ubuntu but i have other vps that are on debian 12 without issue.

41 virtual servers backed up successfully
8 Virtualmin system configurations backed up successfully

With 41 server, there going to be huge listing after 14days.

Maybe the ssh connection is getting timeout, hard to know without real error message. Maybe try doing it a ssh connection via cli and do a directory listing so if it list the files ok.

do you know how may many backup files there are?

Might be a permission issue as well, does the user have read permissions.

nope…it works fine on the same server at another location..and i have a second server with nearly as many backing up tot he same server and it works fine..it’ s is only this one machine..newly installed recently having this issue…come to think of it..at one point it had 65 accounts on it and worked fine.
