It turns out I ‘may’ have documented what I did in Mailman3 to get it to work. This seems familiar. I think Virtual domains map before transport maps? That sound right? Since I only had a couple of sites that had the lists and none of them used email I was able to make it work by eliminating one of the Virtual Domain mappings.
I think that when domain.tld maps to domain.tld it is the last thing checked and doesn’t hit transport maps?
