I am facing an acme challenge from letsecnrypt that includes DNS Validation and including a TXT record but I can see there is no value for the TXT record, How can I extract that acme challenge value for the TXT record.
Wildcard SSL certificates will only be used if webmin is managing your DNS. If you use your hosting providers name servers/dns this will not work. Why do you need a wildcard certificate ? When I create a subdomain It’s either a top level or sub server in virtualmin … therefore virtualmin will generate a certificate for the subdomain.
When you setup a multi tenant project, where subdomain are automatically generated by user by submitting the form. Therefore, those subdomains aren’t registered on DNS, that where Wildcard SSL comes in light.
Who manages dns ?
managed by me, but in multi tenant application those subdomain aren’t created on DNS zone.
So you are using local nameservers and not your suppliers or cloudflare
Solved, I have used manual acme challenges for verifying the domain.
