It’s pretty messed up if Cloudflare gets to decide which browsers are cool and which aren’t. Losing smaller, privacy-friendly options sucks, and giving big companies that kind of power over what we use to browse the web is a creepy!
Agree - and I have always bee very suspicious of Cloudflare - keeping my distance.
It’s just the type of debugging that you aren’t looking for is why I posted it. Generally if a customer complains about a niche browser (IF they bother to even mention that ) you’re probably just going to recommend they try another browser anyhow.
Cloudflare gets to decide a lot of things because so many people have decided to let them be the man-in-the-middle on so much traffic. Worse, it only makes their users experience worse in a lot of cases. Cloudflare can only make a small subset of traffic faster (static files), and everything else can only ever be slowed by going through an extra hop, and you get an annoying bot check every now and then, too.
Yeah, that’s pretty messed up.
(bot checks and DDoS delay screens if you are running a VPN… very annoying)
