Joomla script installer gives error "Please match the requested format"

When I try to use the Joomla script installer, on the script install options page, after I fill in any fields and click the “Install Now” button, the second form field (Which I assume is for password) shows a “Please match the requested format” error and I can’t go any farther. This happens regardless of which version of Joomla I try to install.

OK, I don’t know exactly what the problem was but I resaved the virtual server and that and now it installs but with this error: Failed to get PHP session cookie : HTTP/1.1 421 Misdirected Request

What version of php are you running?

@ecp ubuntu 20.04.x should be on by default with php7.4
