Hi!
I’m a GPL user in Virtualmin. I installed Ubuntu v22 and latest version of Virtualmin on my server.
I’d like to change the ssh port on my panel. I changed it in webmin/servers/sshserver/edit config files.
Unfortunately, I can’t log in to my server via ssh after port changing.
I even added my custom port as allowed one in FirewallD and Usermin Cofiguration, but that’s not working too.
Only port 22 is available for connecting via ssh when I’m using Virtualmin. I have no choice but uninstalling it.
Looking for your help.
Thank you.
Use the GUI.
Put the edited files back to how they were before you funked with them first.
Since using Virtualmin, manually editing files is last resort for me.
Webmin, Servers, SSH Server, Networking, Listen on port - change to whatever.
Then the firewall.
Webmin, Networking, Firewalld, Add allowed port and add the new SSH port.
Once you verify that it’s working, delete the Service ssh (22) from Firewalld.
Good luck.

Does your hosting provider provide a firewall you have to change?
How can I add my new ssh port through webmin or networking?
Isn’t it necessary to change anything in ssh server?
No it doesn’t my friend. I can easily change my ssh port without Virtualmin.

Based on this thread, you’re trying to put multiple services on the same port. That can’t work.
I changed them back to default…
Webmin on 10000
Usermin on 20000
ssh on 22
