I can't install Virtualmin on a IPv6 only server

Hello.

I’m playing around with IPv6 and now I have come to setting up an IPv6 only server.
Thats mean that there is no IPv4 connected to the server, just IPv6.

I’m using my normal CentOS 6.6 64bit minimal installation. So thats is the same as always.

The first error I get is:
wget http://software.virtualmin.com/gpl/scripts/install.sh
–2015-02-09 19:16:14-- http://software.virtualmin.com/gpl/scripts/install.sh
Resolving software.virtualmin.com… 108.60.199.107
Connecting to software.virtualmin.com|108.60.199.107|:80… failed: Network is unreachable.

So http://software.virtualmin.com is not IPv6 ready. So how can I install Virtualmin on my IPv6 only server?
Do Virtualmin have any mirrors that support IPv6?

Howdy,

It isn’t actually possible to setup Virtualmin as an IPv6-only server at present time.

Webmin/Virtualmin require IPv4 addresses associated with every domain.

There is an existing feature request to implement that, and Jamie is looking into that, though it may be down the road a bit before that’s fully supported.

You can see and comment on the feature request here:

Bummer…I had big hopes now, pressing some more VMs in to my server, but avoiding buying a IPv4 subnet (and Flexi-pack @ Hetzner) that cost the same as my server per month.

Have to see if I can do something useful with Windows VMs then.
