Hi it’s me Joe Breath,
I run a gaming website, and I need to set up a reliable mail server in Virtualmin for handling user registrations, support emails, and newsletters. I want to ensure good deliverability, spam protection, and efficient handling of automated emails.
I’m considering Postfix, Dovecot, or even qmail-local for managing email delivery but need guidance on the best approach for a gaming website with a growing user base. Additionally, I want to integrate DKIM, SPF, and DMARC for email authentication and security.
What is the best MTA (Postfix, Sendmail, or Exim) for a Virtualmin-powered gaming website?
Looking forward to expert advice from the community!
Most of what you are requesting is handled very well within Virtualmin.
However,
depend very much on the programs you use to generate these and not so much on Virtualmin itself.
Postfix, Dovecot are installed and others are available (-but require your knowledge*) + those other programs using NodeJS, PHP, Go, etc need installation and management.
*I have one VM set up for games and have been happy with Virtualmin and what it does. DKIM and DMARC are handled well. *
I’ve removed your link from the post, as it looks kinda like SEO spam. It isn’t necessary for us to see your website to answer a generic question about a “reliable mail server”.
