How many instances of are needed?

is it normal for top to report 6 intances of, each using 9% of the available 617mb of RAM?

Well, chances are that most of the RAM is being shared amongst the instances you’re seeing there. But yes, additional processes or threads can be spawned in some cases.

You can always try restarting Webmin to clean all that up – you can do that with:

/etc/init.d/webmin restart

if there is only one user accessing webmin/virtualmin, how do I limit to a single instance?

andrey, is it possible to limit it to a single instance?

thank you

Webmin is still using over 1GB of RAM and the server has been restarted several times since april.

Would someone please give me a pointer on how to restrict miniserv to one process? there is only one user that accesses webmin/virtualmin on this machine. There is no way I need 6 processes to cater to ONE person…

Webmin version 1.600
Virtualmin version 3.94.gpl GPL
