How do I manage SSL for hostname@domain now?

SYSTEM INFORMATION
OS type and version Rocky Linux 9.5
Virtualmin version 7.30.2

Hi Folks,
it’s been a while since I last installed Virtualmin.
Back in my times I was welcomed at the first login to Virtualmin with a self-signed SSL.

Now Virtualmin auto creates a SSL cert with Let’s encrypt and uses the hostname.domain.

How do I manage that SSL cert?
Or even better completly delete all the auto created stuff so that I can setup hostname.domain on my own - and then use these (lets say domain manged instat of auto managed) SSL certs?

May I suggest that auto created domains - good thing to do, having real SSL no question - are created like a user would do if he uses Create Virtual Server!

Don’t do that. The system hostname should never be used for domains hosted in Virtualmin. The initial domain certificate (named after the system hostname) is entirely just to avoid the browser self-signed certificate hassle and scary warnings that make new users nervous. The system hostname should not match any name you will be hosting in Virtualmin. Once you’re up and running with Virtualmin domains, you can pretty much just forget your system hostname entirely, it never needs to be used for anything (you can login to Webmin/Usermin using any Virtualmin-managed domain that has a certificate).

That’s (don’t name your system the same as a Virtualmin-managed domain) covered in the docs in several places, including on the Download page.
