How can I change PHP version?

Hi, in Web Configuration/PHP Option, I found my PHP version is 8.12.
I am deploying WordPress, so I neeed PHP 7.4.
I found php version cannot be clicked to edit, how can I change it?
I suppose I didn’t install PHP 7.4.
How can I install it? What command should I use?
Thanks!

SYSTEM INFORMATION
OS type and version Ubuntu 22
Webmin version Virtualmin 7.9

you need to install php 7.4 follow Multiple PHP Versions – Virtualmin, but wordpress works with php 8.x, however some plugins may not. PHP 7.4 is EOL and should be avoided if at all possible.

All my wordpress run 8.2 or 8.3, do you have a old plugin that not being supported?

no, but on YouTube I see people always use PHP 7.4 for WordPress

Why do wordpress themselves suggest using php 8.x then ?

You absolutely should not use PHP 7.4 for a new WordPress installation.

hi, I am in Ubuntu 22, are these two commands enough if I want multi version PHP?
Or do I need additional commands?

I’m not sure.
On YouTube, a lot of people say PHP 7.4 is the best.
So I will be worried if using PHP 8.1 for WordPress.

lol. Fine, let YouTubers administer your system. I’m sure it’ll be fine.
