Hi! I’m trysten! I wrote a big 'ol post asking for help with unstable installation and how to think about the bleeding edge. It got to around 200 words when I realized, while proofreading my own post, that I had run virtualmin-installer --unstable instead of --branch unstable! Hah! Fortunately I had accurately copied the true install command to my post, so at least I did that right! Anyway, I love virtualmin so far. The community, and especially the staff, seem exceptionally healthy and vibrant. The public discussion of development is so refreshing to see! I hope to become a contributor to the project and to the community as I transition some business from WHM/Cpanel to Virtualmin.
I believe in the benefits of open source as envisioned by the GNU project. Indeed I think it’s where almost all of the really great things in the computer world come from: a living and open exchange of knowledge among people that care.
I’m into all levels of hacking, from esp8266 to cloudflare to efficient nutrition. I’ve recently started playing the word puzzle game Connections and can recommend it to puzzle-enjoyers.
Please comment with your current favorite domain of hackery or tips on integrating into the development process so I don’t embarrass myself in the github issues, again. ![]()
