First use bind9 in webmin

SYSTEM INFORMATION
OS type and version Ubuntu 22.04.1
Webmin version 2.013

Good morning,
I ask your forgiveness if I disturb you.
this is my first time installing a server on my raspberry pi.
I would need to connect it to a domain name that I registered with ionos.
I have the name servers but no way to connect my domain name to this server.
the virtual host is in place, but it is only accessible by the local address, while webmin works well with the domain name, I ask you the lines of control.
Thank you to anyone who would agree to help me.
Thank you so much.

@bigbear67530,

A public DNS server needs to be public. The nameserver addresses (ex. ns1.mydomain.com, ns2.mydomain.com, etc) also need to be registered at your domain registrar to work. These are referred to as “glue records”.

If you’re planning some other way, elaborate so you get more and better information.

I ask you for forgiveness, pi is not supported by virtualmin if I was not sleeping in a cave for too long. How about you jump to RPI forums or IRC? Also bind have awesome documentation you can read…

That’s not helpful. This is the Webmin category, and Webmin runs just fine on a Raspberry Pi (Virtualmin does, too, but mail won’t work without some extra effort…but a Pi probably isn’t big enough to handle a full mail stack, anyway).

thank you very much for your help,
I will definitely give up on webmin.
when i installed apache live with no-ip all worked perfectly. thank you all for taking the time to help me.
