Failed to open PID file when logging into Usermin from Virtualmin

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing an issue when trying to log into Usermin from Virtualmin.

When I click “Login to Usermin”, I get the following error:

Failed to save user : Failed to open PID file

It was introduced by the recent Usermin systemd service change. Virtualmin was still using an old handoff path that briefly stopped/started Usermin and then reloaded it via the PID file.
