Error with install of Friendica

When I attempt to install the Friendica Server I get the following error

Vendor path not found. Please execute “bin/composer.phar run install:prod” on the command line in the web root.

According to the docs there is no install. It is uploaded and configured. have you tried following the advice it gives?
