Error while restoring a Database for a Virtual Server

SYSTEM INFORMATION
OS type and version Ubuntu Linux 22.04.3
Webmin version 2.105
Virtualmin version 7.9.0
Related packages MariaDB.

I tried to restore my Virtual Sever from the backup that Virtualmin created
but the part that restores databases finished with the error

ERROR 1118 (42000) at line 3227 in file: ‘/tmp/.webmin/377612_510156_18_restore.cgi’: Row size too large (> 8126). Changing some columns to TEXT or BLOB may help. In the current row format, BLOB prefix of 0 bytes is stored inline.

I am confused because the backup was created from the DB that worked without any problem why can’t I restore it?

And maybe only one important detail – the backup was made on Server version 5.7.42-0ubuntu0.18.04 but I tried to restore it on the new one: Server version: 10.6.16-MariaDB-0ubuntu0.22.04
But why was the size okay for the old version and generated a problem for the new one…
… or probably I don’t understand what ‘Row size’ means in the error message.

So please help me to resolve the issue

Old server is using MariaDB?

found this

Oh… thank you so much,

the old DB was MySql or the old version of MariaDB I was able to get that tmp file – the first line in it is ’ MySQL dump 10.13 Distrib 5.7.42, for Linux (x86_64)’
I hope your article helps because I don’t have any access to the old database only what I have is the Virtualmin backup and SQL dump in it.
