I don’t know. I see a development branch listed so maybe not ported/approved yet? I don’t use RHEL or derivatives (or postgrey for that matter) so I didn’t dig that deeply into it.
although my post earlier pointed to a link talking about Webalizer
i think it is the same problem: a backup on an old OS that no longer supports the same package so needs to be removed from the backup before restoring.
You are right. This is old backup.I need postgrey. If possible how to install it manually or via virtualmin? If not which feature i have to untick in this?
backup i got it from rhel9.7 server but backup is very old. this backup 1st time i got it from ubuntu 22.04 then migrate to rhel9 till rhel9.7. now i am trying with rhel10.1.This backup was 2019.
i don’t think it is an option to install on RHEL 10 - or an option to ignore on restore from RHEL 9 backup using Vmin. though probably need to wait for input from @staff on that.
Postgrey isn’t available from EPEL on RHEL 10, and I think it’s sort of deprecated, as it hasn’t had an update in several years.
As for ProFTPd Virtual FTP, you almost certainly should not have enabled that feature in the first place, and you definitely don’t want it enabled now. It’s a worse than useless feature (it stopped being useful/necessary 10+ years ago when ProFTPd got name-based virtual hosts via RFC 7151: File Transfer Protocol HOST Command for Virtual Hosts).
Not sure about AWstats, but I guess it’s also been removed from the Rocky and EPEL repos in 10. There are better analytics options available these days.
Did your restore fail, though? What actual problem are we trying to solve?
Don’t change the subject. If you have questions about the install, make a new topic. (And, please read the message for line 13…the answer to your question is right there. Probably. Though it is also possible you’re on a container-based virtual machine that can’t support quotas.)
