I’m not sure if this is normal, but whenever I create a virtual server, the new virtual server will always duplicate another virtual server that has been created before into the new one.
For example, I have a example1.com virtual server. If I create for example2.com virtual server, several contents from the example1.com virtual server will be copied into example2.com virtual server as well, which I do not want it to happen.
What exactly is copied to the new virtual server? Do you by chance have the stuff you see as being copied in your “skeleton directory” which you can configure in the server templates?
Sorry, I’m not sure what you meant exactly, but yeah, virtualmin basically duplicate the same skele files and directory into the new created virtual server.
Sorry, I still don’t fully understand what exactly gets duplicated where when you do what.
Could you reiterate that?
Some hints too: Virtualmin always creates the directory structure (mostly without contents) you see there. I.e. all new servers will get the etc, public_html etc. folders in their home. You might also want to check the “skeleton directory” feature in your server templates, which causes the contents of a selectable directory to be copied to every new server.
