I put my /home directory on its own virtual hard drive.
The drive space gauge on the Dashboard shows the complete percentage of drive space left but would allow me to run out of /home space so long as the OS drive and logs drives had free space.
Is there any way that I can have it just show /home up there? (I’d rather keep an eye on the others by expanding the Disk Usage bit below and know when I see the gauge how I am doing on /home).
Because that’s the one that’s going to hurt most if it bites and that 77% could give me (or some other guy, at 3am, who doesn’t work with this a lot so doesn’t know any better) the impression that I have plenty of space left when /home is completely out.
I guess ideally there would be four little gauges, one for each drive/partition but I’m not expecting miracles, only asking if I can change what that one displays.
We can’t put everything in the dashboard, because then it’s no longer a dashboard that provides the highlights in a quick glance. But, it probably should be possible pick which things you want in the dashboard…like which drive matters most.
Point taken about choice.
Since this is under the notification tab does it mean ALL this will trigger a notification? If they are then being able to configure the trigger level would be comforting to the OP in this case. No watching a pot that doesn’t boil while another does?
