To continue on the subject any reason not to? Couldn’t this be the default as to not need to revisit this everytime I get a new server spamming me?
I keep getting this as soon as I fill a proper address for root/superuser in Debian or check the emails for that matter; getting this every 10mins it is surely annoying and pointing to a problem that shouldn’t exist:
Error while processing /etc/awstats/awstats.client5.domain.tld.conf

So there are 2 crons both owned by www-data:
- [ -x /usr/share/awstats/tools/update.sh ] && /usr/share/awstats/tools/update.sh
- [ -x /usr/share/awstats/tools/buildstatic.sh ] && /usr/share/awstats/tools/buildstatic.sh
As soon as I disable those of course no emails are received. Can someone from the team provide any further context?
