Do I need to turn off Linux Firewall of Virtualmin to start using APF

I prefer to utilize Advanced Policy Firewall (http://www.rfxn.com/projects/advanced-policy-firewall) on my server, which works with iptables just like native Linux Firewall provided by Virtualmin by default (Webmin -> Networking -> Linux Firewall) does. I wonder do they conflict with each other? Is it better and safer to turn Linux Firewall if I prefer to use APF?

Thanks!

Howdy,

The kind of firewall you use doesn’t matter – if you like APF, go for it! The key, which ever software you’re using, is just to make sure it’s not blocking the ports of the services you’re using.
