Would bee greate if you start some forums department for diffrent language, i belive there are user from all auround the world.
Why not start with a swedish corner for us her in Sweden ;-), so we could help each other on our language!
And alike for other countries and languages as cannot English so good.
Excellent idea, Lars!
I will experiment with sub-sites, so we can have the same help forums in each language that gets requested. I suspect they will be rather quiet early on, but once we get translations of Virtualmin and the docs completed for more languages and we start advertising, it ought to pick up a bit.
Anyway, this will definitely be available in the next week or two, one way or another.
Hello Lars and Joe,
Of course this “sounds like” a good idea but I actually think the forum should stay English here. Sometimes when I look in a forum, maybe to look up an error message I got in some software or for what ever reason, I see they discuss the same error message that I got…for example in German, that I don’t understand. It’s ok having forums in different languages but the “official” site should remain English.
Maybe it’s better just having a link to a Swedish site hosting the Swedish Virtualmin Forum, and so on.
Just my opinion!
Of course, a Swedish forum will last specifically for just us in sverige and to contain such that concerns precisely us and not interior genuine for other to know.
That seems ok even by me smile, maybe I did jump to conclusions a bit. My first reaction was that people not speaking swedish missing out on the information in this forum and the authors of the software not beeing able to comment the posts.
I’ll definitely be one of the first to join a swedish forum.
By the way, I’ve started to work on the incomplete swedish translation of Virtualmin/Usermin/Webmin, but the work on this is rather slow right now.
