Dashboard pie charts have ugly graphics

SYSTEM INFORMATION
Operating system Ubuntu Linux 22.04.5
Webmin version 2.610
Webmin version 2.610
Virtualmin version 7.50.2 GPL
Authentic theme version 26.20
Package updates All installed packages are up to date

I don’t know what exactly is causing the graphics you see in the image.
I have plenty of free memory on the server and plenty of processor power…
There is no indication anywhere else that something is wrong.
Not in the logs or anywhere.
Everything works normally except for the graphics on the pies.
I rebooted and I have default settings in Theme Configuration > Dashboard and real-time monitoring.
Virtualmin version 7.50.2 was installed 2 days ago, but today the error appeared and won’t go away. It’s just that sometimes it appears on one of the pies, sometimes on 2, sometimes on 3 and sometimes on 4 pies…

OK everything went back to normal after I pressed the button that says Restore Defaults.
I lost some custom settings in Navigation, because Restore Defaults restores all theme settings and not just the settings related to this specific page.
It’s okay, there are worse things in this life
Everything is correct now.
I just want to note that the red button that restores (Restore Defaults) has a very short duration.
I don’t know why you chose to make it stay on for only a few seconds, but it’s strange, since the user doesn’t understand - that he has to press it again immediately - after the first press (when it turns from gray to red).

EDIT
Finally, the problem was not fixed, the Dashboard continues to display the pie charts with ugly graphics.
Generally, various strange things happen on the Theme Configuration page after the user presses “Restore Defaults”. Or “Save”. For example, the page is directed to Vitualmin.
These happen after the last or the second-to-last update ( 7.50.1, 7.50.2 ).
I have never had problems before when changing settings in Theme Configuration

And another bug that didn’t happen before the latest updates is the one shown in this image. When you click on the question mark to see how to add extra menus to Navigation, the new window hides under the menu. It’s not a terrible thing but it’s good to point it out.

We will fix that in the next release, thanks for reporting it!

That looks like some kind of extraterrestrial interference. I’m not sure; it doesn’t happen in the region where I live. :alien:

Did you try looking at “Theme Configuration: Dashboard and real-time monitoring” to adjust the pie charts and see if anything changes?

Furthermore, it might be caused by one of the browser’s extensions. Try incognito mode, where all the extensions are disabled, or use another browser.

Yes, the browser may be to blame.
I always use Mozilla and never before had a problem with graphics or anything like what appeared today in the dashboard pie charts.

Yes, I changed the settings many times, until I finally did Restore Defaults so many more times and even rebooted and cleared cache about 20 times (the cache not the reboot  )

I always have all browser plugins disabled when I log in to Webmin/Virtualmin.

In Mozilla’s incognito mode, however, I still have the same bug in the dashboard pie charts.

I will check everything with Brave, Chrome and come back to report.

this is peculiar :expressionless_face: or many folk would encounter this.
are you using a VPN I very occasionally get images distorted when connecting through a VPN to VM in foreign countries (admittedly restarting the VPN seems to fix)

Yes, I’m connecting through my own VPN - which I have installed on my VPS server - which is located in a different country of the European Union than mine.
I would never have imagined that something like that could disturb the graphics on my screen.
Restarting my server didn’t fix the situation.
Maybe restarting the VPN on my computer?
I have both Wireguard and OpenVPN on my server.
I’ll close Wireguard (which is where I encountered the graphics error) and try connecting to my Virtalmin server’s IP via OpenVPN all day tomorrow.
And if I see bad graphics again, well! then I’ll disconnect from the VPN completely to check what’s going on.
Anyway, from Brave (and not Mozilla) everything is as it should be.

and thank you both for the reply @Stegan and @Ilia :alien:

UPDATE
Incredible and probably true!
I encountered the same problem with Mozilla (without extensions) + OpenVPN a while ago on a site I manage in another city in my country.
I entered the Opencart control panel and the graphics showing sales had disappeared.
And as soon as I hovered the mouse over them, they appeared.
I closed Mozilla and deleted cookies etc.
And as soon as I entered the Opencart control panel again everything was OK.
So I think that the culprit for the whole issue was primarily the Mozilla cache and secondly the combination with the VPN.
So Webmin/Virtualmin is healthy, strong and admirable as always!

What OS? I had to stop using Wayland with KDE on Debian because browsers got very erratic.

On Windows 10

Was there not similar issue and it ended up being a library.

I want to say it was an overlay issue with the terminal but I am not sure
