No!!! sorry but
That completely screws it up and just lists all the VS and still loads Webmin even if the last log in was showing the Virtualmin Dashboard
A different browser (Firefox) did it and so did Chrome Incognito.
I guess it is some caching issue (even after switching off overnight)
I’m not a fan of “so called Incognito” and would not normally use it.
I’ll see how things develop tomorrow.
I wonder if this could be a session issue as going to a “private” window should have also killed all current sessions - though would have expected those to have been cleared during logout.
The Dashboard was originally a Virtualmin feature. It made its way to Webmin, but it was originally to provide a quick overview of a Virtualmin system (license status, number of domains, important service statuses, memory/disk/etc., pretty much all the stuff you’d want to see to confirm nothing is going crazy on the system).
The fact that it is a tab when you only have Webmin is…just sort of an accident. All the themes with a left menu and tabs over there, started out as Virtualmin themes. When they became general Webmin themes, they had tab real estate up there and nothing to put in the other tab. So here we are. It’s not intended to imply that it’s a Webmin dashboard (it only shows Virtualmin stuff when Virtualmin is installed, so it is a general system info dashboard when you only have Webmin).
Oh, and for this one, that’s only true if you haven’t browsed somewhere else within Webmin. i.e. just after login. At least, that’s how it worked in the old theme, and I assume in Authentic.
which is exactly why I like going there and place so much value on it.
It doesn’t do very much in terms of itself (there are some very good short cut menu links though, into some Webmin that are otherwise more difficult to find) like Nginx, Postfix etc.
actually very useful when you dig around it a bit.
I am starting to believe this is a browser caching issue.
As you are aware I have several boxes with Virtualmin - I logged out of all of them last night. (as usual). This morning all the ones I started up in Chrome (my usual browser of choice) again started up in Webmin tab. the two I have started in Firefox started up with the Virtualmin tab.
