CSF "MUST HAVE" features lacking in WM/VM?

I kinda remember CSF as having a wow factor when I first encountered it. Now I think there may have been a lot of bloat that fed that notion.

Obviously CSF, though widely used and popular, didn’t seem to lead to commercial success. IF it goes away, what features will you miss? The only ones I remember as being useful were added recently to the WM module.

Other than a timer for this, that’s all I can think that I really miss.

judging a firewall, by commercial success?
is ufw a commercial success?
is ferm a commercial success?
is shorewall a commercial success?
is firewalld a commercial success?

a firewall is good when it’s doing its job well (read/block/allow what rules say)..

imho, csf is great (like other fw…). preferred it over firewalld and others, cause it allowed me to use it in more ways than traditional iptables fw. (IDS, custom regex rules )

2c.

IMO, all that is required is Simplicity.

and nothing really seems to be.

by simplicity I really mean one click on an IP (probably in a log) and it is blocked. placed in a list somewhere where it can be viewed and clicked to unblock.
