cron - which syntax works?

Hi,
I have several cron jobs running and they are all creating those blank files in root.
For some reason the “>/dev/null 2>&1” i added to the end of the cron commands are not keeping from creating these files.

Am i missing something here?
Will these work?

wget -q -O /dev/null http://…

wget --delete-after -q http://…

There’s multiple ways to do what you’re after,

I’ve personally used this one, and it seems to do the trick:

wget -O /dev/null http://domain.tld > /dev/null
