CRON.LOG is empty

Hi
Although CRONS run steadily, the /var/log/cron.log is empty
I checked the interface and cron pref and I don’t see anything that allows me to control this.
Please enlighten me of the right placed to check

Notes: Logging active? is set to YES
Sync after each message? is checked

SYSTEM INFORMATION
OS type and version Ubuntu Linux 20.04.6
Webmin version 2.111

Ubuntu no longer uses these files, it is all journal based. Use the GUI to read the logs.

Well this is interesting. Debian 11 seems to be off by default?

This is also empty: /logviewer/view_log.cgi?idx=syslog-5&view=1&xnavigation=1

Because it is now journal based. Look under system logs.

try

/logviewer/view_log.cgi?linktitle=&oidx=&omod=&file=&extra=&view=1&lines=100&idx=journal-a-cron.service&since=&filter=&xnavigation=1

Actually, the cron.log listing is ON the System Logs page so this is not a very helpful comment. That is how it is reported that it is empty…
