creating certificate failed

Hi there,

I have issue for istalling certificate in my software (evolution). It ask me for password. But i tried all possible password but everytime it failed.
So i decided to generate a new certificate using “Manage SSL Certificate” page.

I created a certificate signing request (CSR)
then i created a new certifcate by copy/paste the key and i got the following error:

Failed to install certificate : Certificate problem detected : Certificate data is not valid : unable to load certificate 1443:error:0D0680A8:asn1 encoding routines:ASN1_CHECK_TLEN:wrong tag:tasn_dec.c:1316: 1443:error:0D06C03A:asn1 encoding routines:ASN1_D2I_EX_PRIMITIVE:nested asn1 error:tasn_dec.c:828: 1443:error:0D08303A:asn1 encoding routines:ASN1_TEMPLATE_NOEXP_D2I:nested asn1 error:tasn_dec.c:748:Field=algorithm, Type=X509_ALGOR 1443:error:0D08303A:asn1 encoding routines:ASN1_TEMPLATE_NOEXP_D2I:nested asn1 error:tasn_dec.c:748:Field=signature, Type=X509_CINF 1443:error:0D08303A:asn1 encoding routines:ASN1_TEMPLATE_NOEXP_D2I:nested asn1 error:tasn_dec.c:748:Field=cert_info, Type=X509 1443:error:0906700D:PEM routines:PEM_ASN1_read_bio:ASN1 lib:pem_oth.c:83:

So i really don’t know what to do

Thanks for your help

Are you just trying to use a self-signed certificate?

If so, the easiest way to re-generate a self-signed SSL certificate would be to uncheck the “SSL Website” feature in Edit Virtual Server -> Enabled Features, hit ‘Save’, and then to re-enable it.

Doing that should re-generate your SSL Certificate.

I am using the default ecrtificate when i enabled thi feature.
I tried disbling/re enabling SSL but nothing change :’(

Hi manuscle

You should head to your file structure and backup your existing ssl.cert and ssl.key files into a directory for safe keeping.

Then, you shouldn’t have any need to generate a CSR, instead just go straight to Self Signed Certificate and enter the required details, this should generate the CSR, Key and Cert in one go.

Have a go at this and let us know if it works for you. Post back with any errors you receive.
