Live ISP: Bluehost
Live ISP CPanel Version: 11.28.64
Test Server Platform: Dell Inspiron E1505
Test OS: CentOS 5.6 (pristine)
Virtualmin: 3.86.gpl GPL

(1) Installed clean copy of CentOS.
(2) Ran Virtualmin install.sh.
(3) System check was successful.
(4) Ran CPanel daily home dir backup (Cpanel\Files\Site Backup & Restore\Full CPanel Backup\Daily System Backup) and copied to local drive (Path in .tar.gz is "backup1/cpbackup/daily/clmitch1/").
(5) 1st migration attempt failed (“invalid cpanel backup file”).
(6) Created new tar with path “backup/cpbackup/daily/clmitch1/*”.
(7) 2nd migration failed (“Validating migration file … … validation failed : Could not find directory for clmitch1 in backup”). NOTE: “clmitch1” is the user on bluehost.

Is this version of Virtualmin compatible with this version of CPanel?

Please help.

Howdy,

Yeah, it’s possible you’re running into some sort of incompatibility.

Would it be possible for Jamie to see a copy of your cPanel backup file?

If so, my recommendation would be to file a bug report using the “Support” link above, mark your support request as private, and post the issue you’re having – including a link to where Jamie can download your backup file.

He can then review your backup, and determine what’s going wrong there.
