Copying a site

Hey guys!
I got one basic question i am a newbie so forgive me if the answer is too easy and didnt find it myself.
I have a test domain lets say its test.com and i created a joomla site there.
Now its finished and this joomla site needs to be migrated to its original domain lets say live.com.
Both domain are inside virtualmin.
So what i am asking if i can quickly clone test.com to live.com both exists as virtual servers inside virtualmin panel.
Hope i was clear about my question. (English is not my native language)

Howdy,

There are two ways to do that.

One, you could just rename your test domain.

You can rename it by going into Server Configuration -> Change Domain Name.

Or, you could clone it to a different domain by going into Server Configuration -> Clone Virtual Server.

I don’t recommend the “rename” option. The reason is basically that Virtualmin does not rename the database (and “later” this will create a lot of confusion :slight_smile:
