clamd at 100% cpu?!?

Hi there,

not exactly a virtualmin issue, but maybe some of you came aross the same and know more.
Today I discovered that clamd is using 100% cpu. That wasn’t the case some days or weeks ago when I looked at it the last time. Is that maybe due to a bug (updated the system several times)?

Any help would be appreciated…

It stopped… 10 minutes later. No idea what was going on…

Howdy,

I don’t think I’ve personally run into that. Do you have anything interesting in the ClamAV log files:

/var/log/clamav/clamav.log
/var/log/clamav/freshclam.log

Perhaps they could shed some light on what Clam was up to when you saw the CPU spike.
