You should look at the logs (mail log or the journal for the postfix
unit) to find out why it isn’t sending email.
Changing the hostname likely broke your PTR or HELO match. Update your reverse DNS and mail server settings to reflect the new hostname.
PTR and HELO don’t need to match. Very few servers consider that a spammy characteristic, and no major mail services reject on that. If the server isn’t sending any email, it is definitely not the problem OP is having, as most email will be delivered with PTR and HELO not matching.
As long as you have a PTR that resolves both ways, it’s fine, it doesn’t need to match the hostname in HELO.
OP needs to look at the log and no one will have to guess what’s wrong.
