Change the owner name of the virtual server and re-adapt the relative folders

Hi everyone, I need to change the owner of the virtual server. Basically I have several domains:

example.com

example.info

example.net

For each of these domains I created a main account as per procedure. The problem, if we want to call it that, is that the system automatically creates users based on the domain and therefore I have:

example

example.info

example.net

So the first domain has a subfolder /home/example and user example and the others correctly have:

/home/example.info

/home/example.net

It doesn’t affect the functioning of the system but I would like everything to be aligned since the system automatically creates many features based on this.

So I was wondering if there was any kind soul out there who would have the patience to point me to a possible solution.

Thank you very much.

SYSTEM INFORMATION
OS type and version Debian12
Virtualmin version 7.0.0

Hmm. What is the outcome that you would like Virtualmin to bring about? You have told us what happens in Virtualmin when the domain name is common, now tell us what you want Virtualmin to do differently from what it does.

Virtualmin is highly configurable and the outcome that you want might be possible, if you indicate clearly what it is that you want.

Additionally, you should explore Virtualmin → Manage Virtual Server → Change Domain Name - you can do much more here than merely change the domain name.

You have both been extremely kind, I was lost in the various settings and I hadn’t realised that I could do it with:

Change Domain Name

Thank you so much, you’re all great!
