Can't upgrade packages at all

Hello !
I’m running into a problem … the system is throwing a lot of errors when using the Software Package Updates page .

The system is listing 119 packages to update, and when I select to update/install these updates , I get the following errors which makes the whole process fail … :slight_smile: If anyone has a clue ?

The error gives you a suggestion that may be correct, the mirror(s) in question could be in the middle of a sync causing them to be temporary unusable.

You could try:

sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

*** from command line ***

Or wait a few days and see if the issue resolves itself.

If you want to adjust the mirrors, you could edit:

/etc/apt/sources.list

and/or an appropriate file from the directory:

/etc/apt/sources.list.d/

*** Once you’ve edited any of the files be sure to run the former commands so that changes are reflected ***

thank you Peter. I found the culprit!

I had a mirror for MariaDB that was broken, mirror.jaleco.com which now points to mirror.download.it

I have replaced it with MariaDB’s official mirrors by commenting (#) the old one in mariadb_repo.list and running:

curl -sS https://downloads.mariadb.com/MariaDB/mariadb_repo_setup | sudo bash -s -- --mariadb-server-version="mariadb-10.4"

I was then able to run apt-get update and apt-get upgrade
