Can't see MariaDB as an option for WP install

SYSTEM INFORMATION
OS type and version Alma Linux 8
Virtualmin version 7.7

Hi. Newbie to Virtualmin but have experience with cPanel.

I have installed MariaDB and it shows as working and running. When I try to install Wordpress on a domain from ‘Install scripts’, the dropdown box only shows ‘PostgreSQL, New Database’ as an option. I want to install to a MariaDB database.

How do I get MariaDB to show here (or MySQL if that is what Virtualmin refer to it as as I saw in older posts)?

If it helps, the server status shows a tick next to Apache, Bind, MySQL and Postfix.

Thanks in advance.

You didn’t use our automated install script, or something went wrong during install and you don’t have a complete installation. MariaDB is included in a fresh installation, and PostgreSQL is not. So…you have something that isn’t an automated installation of Virtualmin, which you should not do without a lot of experience with Virtualmin and your OS and all the services being used.

Follow the instructions on our download page on a freshly installed, supported, OS.
