I have been fighting with ProFTPD for a couple of days trying to setup FTP. I am able to connect and login withe the my user name but stalls a Retrieving directory listing.
I have created other users specifically for FTP under Virtualmin | [virtual.srv] | Edit Users | Add a user to this server OR Add a website FTP access user. When I use the newly created ftp.username, the following appears in the proftpd log:
FTP session opened.
USER ftp.username (Login failed): Invalid shell: ‘/bin/false’
FTP session closed.
This is what appeared in FileZilla:

I have noticed that my version (1.3.5e) of ProFTPD is not the most current (1.3.7). Will Webmin/Virtualmin push out an update eventually?
