tried to move forward for this this but got the same problem today despite I can use the console with the usual password:

For useful guidance (I hope): yestarday when I logged off, Webmin was under pending reboot…as it is now, I suppose.
Please don’t hijack other folks topics. Your issue is not the same as this one, as it has completely different errors and symptoms.
